Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Sportify Log mobile application (the “App”) processes information. The App is operated by the individual developer reachable at yarik.pop@icloud.com (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy applies to your use of the App and to the website available at sportify-log.app (together, the “Services”).

1. Information we collect

Sportify Log is designed primarily as a personal match tracking tool. The App focuses on storing information that you choose to enter. Depending on how you use the Services, we may process the following categories of information.

1.1 Match and stats information

• Sport type, league or competition name;
• Match dates, times, and locations;
• Scores, sets, goals, and other statistics you decide to track;
• Team or player names and other labels you create;
• Optional free‑text notes you add to your entries.

1.2 Device and usage information

When you use the App, your device or the app store provider may provide certain technical information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, general performance data, crash logs, and basic interaction events. This information is generally processed in aggregated or pseudonymized form and is used to maintain and improve the App.

1.3 Support communication

If you contact us by email or through the contact form on our website, we may process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message, solely for the purpose of responding to your request and keeping a record of our communications.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

• To provide the core functionality of the App, including storing and displaying your match history and statistics;
• To maintain and improve the stability, performance, and usability of the App and website;
• To respond to your messages, feedback, and support requests;
• To analyze anonymized or aggregated usage patterns in order to understand how the App is used and where it can be improved;
• To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights and the rights of other users.

3. Data storage and retention

Match data and other content you enter in the App are stored locally on your device. Depending on your device settings, this data may also be included in your encrypted device backups (for example, iCloud or computer backups) managed by Apple or other backup providers. We do not have direct access to these backups.

Support emails and contact form submissions are stored for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request, maintain records of our communications, and comply with applicable legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

4. Third‑party services

The App may rely on services provided by Apple (such as the App Store, system backup, and crash reporting) as part of the normal functioning of an iOS application. These services are governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and terms.

As of the effective date of this policy, the App does not integrate third‑party advertising SDKs. If we decide to add analytics or other third‑party tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request your consent.

5. Legal bases for processing (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on the following bases:

• Performance of a contract: to provide and operate the App and its features;
• Legitimate interests: to maintain and improve the App, protect our rights, and respond to your communications;
• Consent: where you are clearly asked to provide consent for a specific processing activity. You may withdraw consent at any time through your device settings or by contacting us.

6. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information as required by applicable law.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data. Because most data in Sportify Log is stored locally on your device, you can exercise many of these rights directly by editing or deleting entries in the App or uninstalling the App from your device.

If you contact us about your privacy rights, we may need to ask you for additional information in order to verify your identity before responding to your request.

8. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the Services. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any backup services you use.

9. International transfers

Depending on where you are located, your information may be processed on servers located outside of your home country. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than those in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable laws, or other operational needs. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
